Introduction

Based on the geographic situation of Occitania region, situated in front of Pyrenees mountains and in the middle of Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean See, two dominant wind directions are observed in Limoux area: North-western wind from the Atlantic Ocean and South-eastern wind from the Mediterranean see. The subsequent slopes have been demonstrated their capability to host large scale international contests:

  • Escueillens-et-Saint-Just-de-Bélengard (GPS: 43.114353, 1.999419) 
  • Laurac le Grand (GPS: 43.225227, 1.967475)
